A Typical Seminar Week…
Tuesday…Arrive at Sacred Chaos Seminar site, The Mandala Center, throughout the afternoon.
Individual sessions with Jim Newby and Mark Minear to be scheduled. Dinner together at 6:00 p.m.
Each day begins with worship at 8:30 a.m., led by Mark Minear, and followed by three Group Sessions, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be at noon, and we will close our Group Sessions at 3:00 p.m. each afternoon. There will be free time between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day, during which individual conferences with the leaders can be scheduled, or the seminar participant can exercise, read or write in his or her journal etc. The final group session each day will be held from 7pm to 8:30pm.
Wednessday…Recovering Passion…Defining the feeling of passion…How is it experienced? What happens when I lose it? How can it be recovered?
Thursday…Processing Pain…What am I feeling? At whom am I angry? What do I fear? How have I been hurt? How have I sought to resolve my issues of pain…within my family and network of friends? Within the congregation I am serving? Or, how am I self-medicating my pain?
Friday…Experiencing Pilgrimage…What is my story? Who are my people?…family?...faith community? How have I experienced God in my pilgrimage? When does God feel close? Does God feel distant? How so?
Saturday…Closing Sessions...We seek to define future steps to wellness and wholeness. How will I try to change my life dance?
Sunday Morning ... After breakfast, travel home. |
