Renewal, both corporate and individual, has always been at the heart of the Yokefellow Movement, founded by Dr. D. Elton Trueblood in 1949. The Sacred Chaos Seminars grew out of this concern for renewal, and the particular concern that Elton Trueblood, Jim Newby and Mark Minear have had and continue to have for the spiritual and emotional health of religious leaders. Based on the book, Sacred Chaos: One Man’s Spiritual Journey Through Pain and Loss by Jim Newby, this special program for the renewal of religious leaders has been developed. For those entrusted with ministerial leadership, but who are experiencing transition, burnout, disillusionment and a loss of ministerial passion, the Sacred Chaos Seminars offer hope for renewal. Over a period of four days, seminar participants are given tools for processing their pain…recovering their passion…learning how to dance with the paradoxes in their lives, and how to experience their earthly pilgrimage, pain and all, as a spiritual journey. The Sacred Chaos leadership affirms that we worship a God of new beginnings, and of these new beginnings there is no end…
